Synthetic Stucco (EIFS)- Exterior Insulation Finish System is an acrylic textured finish coating (available in different textures and a large variety of colors) over insulation foam board (provides energy efficiency plus detail molding characteristics) and reinforced fiberglass mesh base coat (provides durability). We use Dryvit and Parex EIFS materials.
Custom Design - to create a beautiful exterior facade with different texture options, large color selection and shapes from archways, quoins, columns, trim molding and lines.
Hard Coat (traditional stucco) - is 3/8" to 1" scratch, brown coat over wire mesh or lath, joints about every 150 square feet (to minimize cracking) and a textured finish. This system needs to be moist cured for several days. There will be excessive cracking and lack of strength if not cured properly.
Stucco Inspections - include moisture testing (Tramex Wet Wall Detector and/or Delhorst moisture meter), flashing, penetrations (Utilities and decking), cracks, holes, exterior sealant, roof to stucco transitions, doors and windows, parapets, stucco terminations.
Repairs - include cracks, impact damage, expansion joints, flashing, water damage, sealant, insect infestation prevention, woodpecker holes.
Resurface - is applying a new textured finish coat to an existing stucco surface. Many customers have their home resurfaced to eliminate patches left from repairs.
EIFS Self-Maintenance
To properly maintain your EIFS exterior, make sure you maintain a regular cleaning schedule. Use resealant when necessary. Keep shrubs and trees cut back so they do not rub on home. Also be sure to move lawn sprinklers so that they do not spray on the exterior of your home.
